Nestle Canada expands Toronto confectionery facility

TORONTO — Nestle Canada has completed an expansion project at its Toronto confectionery facility.

The approximately $50 million expansion project included new production space, manufacturing equipment that will produce KitKat and Aero products, expanded site utilities and a flexible molding line.

"Our 550 factory employees have built an incredible legacy, and this investment gives them even more to build on — new capacity and capability to carry that work forward," said Chandra Kumar, president and chief executive officer of Nestle Canada. "Together, that's what unlocks our next chapter of growth, innovation, and leadership in confectionery."

The Toronto facility also manufactures Smarties and Coffee Crisp products.
